A Teaching Resource You Can Use: Research Methods Resource Collection

TRAILS, ASA’s peer-reviewed digital teaching resources library, is free to ASA members and features the Research Methods Resource Collection, with syllabi, assignments, and in-class activities suitable for research methods courses or instruction on research methods in other sociology courses.

Resources include:

Access the ASA Guide to Graduate Departments of Sociology

The 2026 edition of the ASA Guide to Graduate Departments of Sociologyis now available online. This invaluable reference provides comprehensive information for academic administrators, advisors, faculty, students, and a host of others seeking information on graduate departments of sociology. Published by the ASA since 1965, it became a digital resource in 2025. Individual ASA members and Department Affiliate members have free access to the guide through their member portal. Log in to the member portal and click on “Guide to Graduate Departments of Sociology” in the left-hand menu. Non-members can purchase access to the guide here. If your department offers a graduate degree and you have not yet listed in the 2026 guide, contact [email protected] to  purchase your listing now, and it will immediately appear in the guide.
