Thank you to everyone who participated in the first Virtual Mini-Conference!

Last year, the ASA Council approved a series of exciting recommendations from the ASA Annual Meeting Redesign Committee which were designed to make our meeting delivery and distribution of time and space more affordable, accessible, and environmentally friendly. One decision Council made was to pilot test a virtual mini-conference, and we are pleased to announce that we will be offering this pilot on January 30-31, 2025.

A message from ASA President, Adia Harvey Wingfield.

The ASA Virtual Mini-Conference (VMC), will share the theme of the 2025 Annual Meeting, “Reimagining the Future of Work.” Over two days of programming from 11:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Eastern, the Virtual Mini-Conference (VMC) will offer eight paper sessions, a spotlight session on the future of sociology, and two book forums, as well as a networking event.
