It answers questions such as: How do you get a job with the federal government or with a non-academic research institute? What are these jobs like? What’s similar and different about these types of jobs from academic positions? The webinar was hosted by Jessi Streib and the Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility Section of the ASA. Matt Erickson, Nicole Deterding, Chris Tamborini, and Alexandria Radford served as panelists and Adrienne Jones served as Moderator. The advice the panelists give is relevant to all people who have or will receive Sociology PhDs and are interested in jobs with the federal government or with non-academic research organizations.
