Submission Guidelines

  • Article submissions are limited to invited articles.
  • Obituaries. Up to 600 words.
  • Announcements. Up to 150 words.
  • Other submissions. ASA welcomes member-written contributions related to the discipline of sociology. If you have an idea, email it to [email protected].

All submissions should include a contact name and an email address. ASA accepts submissions from its current members and reserves the right to edit for style and length of all material published. Please note: member submissions will appear in the next available issue of Footnotes or Member News & Notes, both of which are sent to ASA members. ASA reserves the right to publish them in either Footnotes or Member News & Notes. Footnotes is published in February, June, and October; Member News & Notes is published in January, March, April, May, July, September, and November.
