Support fellow sociologists with a gift of ASA Membership or Section Membership.
To purchase gifts, sign in to the Member Portal and navigate to the Gift Memberships icon on the left-side dashboard in the Member Portal.
For Membership Gifts:
In the form of a $57 credit, the cost of a 2025 Student membership.
– Click the Purchase a Gift Membership for a Student button
– Select the Quantity of gifts you would like to purchase
– Click Add to Cart
For Section Gifts*:
– Click the Purchase a Gift Section Membership button
– Select the desired Section and gift rate (Student or Nonstudent) from the dropdown menu and then select the quantity of gifts from the next dropdown menu.
– Click Add to Cart
After you complete the transaction, you will receive an email with the discount code and a set of instructions for you to give gift recipients. If you send a discount code to someone and they say they do not wish to redeem it, you can send the discount code to another person. The discount code is valid for the number of transactions (Quantity) you purchase and can be redeemed entirely online.

*Section membership requires an ASA membership. Only ASA members who do not already have a membership in the Section are eligible to receive a gift to the Section. The gifted Section membership will end at the same time as your current ASA membership. Section gift memberships are not available for purchase from August 1 to August 31 each year.
Note: Gifts are not tax deductible. Student and Section gifts are nonrefundable, and the discount code expires 30 days after purchase. One discount code can be redeemed per transaction.
