Using data from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, this research briefs finds that faculty salaries in four social sciences did not keep up with inflation. Although sociology faculty were the lowest paid, they experienced the smallest loss in constant dollars between Academic Years 2007‐08 and 2008‐09.
