Pennsylvania State University. The Crime, Law, and Justice Program (CLJ) at University Park invites applications for up to two fixed-term lecturers to begin Fall 2000. These positions are intended for master teachers who can cover a variety of undergraduate courses, including some combination of the following: introduction to criminal justice, corrections, law and society, juvenile justice, sexual violence, and women in the criminal justice system. The positions carry 3-3 loads and renewable three-year contracts at a competitive (assistant professor-level) salary. Candidates should have the PhD in hand or should expect to complete the PhD by the time of the appointment. They should also be strongly committed to excellence in classroom instruction. CLJ is a multidisciplinary unit within the Department of Sociology that offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees. Faculty members� work spans a broad range of topics in criminology and criminal justice and is enhanced by the presence of a research institute (the Center for Research on Crime and Justice) and a state agency (the Pennsylvania Sentencing Commission) located on campus. Pennsylvania State University. The Women�s Studies Program at Penn State invites applications for a joint faculty position in the area of global feminism at the Associate or Assistant level to begin July 1, 2000. The appointment will be made jointly with one of three cooperating departments: Geography, Sociology, or Political Science. University of Pittsburgh. Director, University Center for International Studies (UCIS). The University of Pittsburgh invites applications from and nominations for candidates for the position of Director of the University Center for International Studies (UCIS). A major research institution and member of the Association of American Universities, the University currently serves 9,000 graduate and 23,000 undergraduate students through 16 graduate, professional, and undergraduate schools at its Pittsburgh campus and four regional campuses. Pittsburg State University. The Department of Social Science invites applications for two anticipated tenure track Assistant Professor positions in Sociology beginning August 18, 2000. A PhD in Sociology, by time of appointment, is required. Starting salary in the mid-thirties. Radford University invites applicants for a full-time temporary renewable appointment, up to a total of three years beginning in August 2000. Primary area of specialization is Research Methods.
