Both the employer and employee have ethical obligation with regard to employment. For their part, employers and their representatives adhere to the highest ethical standards when participating in employment-related decisions. They ensure equal opportunity and fair treatment to all full-time and part-time employees and do not discriminate in hiring, promotion, compensation, treatment or any other conditions of employment on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, health condition, marital, domestic or parental status, or any other applicable basis proscribed by law. They are informed of fair employment codes and communicate this information to their employees. For their part, employees do their jobs responsibly. They provide prospective employers with accurate and complete information about their professional qualifications and experience. They make reasonable attempts to make sure that their absence or departure does not do undue harm to students, colleagues and clients and give adequate notice of intent to terminate employment.
