This three-part presentation given by University of Virginia President (former University of Michigan Provost), Teresa Sullivan explores the many facets of being department chair. The talk, given at the 2009 ASA annual meeting, covers big issues effecting all institutions: the climate of the economy at that time, assessment in higher ed (the accountability movement), and globalization. She offers many insights and useful pieces of advice to new and seasoned department chairs.
