COS Section Election 2019

The Committee on Sections (COS) is responsible for advising the ASA Council on various section related policies by serving as the liaison between ASA’s 52 sections and the ASA Council. COS reviews section bylaws amendments and new section proposals as well as monitors section activity and health. The committee meets in person at the Annual Meeting and has a teleconference in January.  If elected, the term starts on January 1, 2020 and ends on December 31, 2022.  Please click here to learn more and see a current committee roster.

COS has a total of nine members, three of which are elected by section chairs. Of these three members, one is from small-sized section (less than 399 members), one from a medium-sized section (between 400 and 799 members), and one from a large-sized section (more than 800 members). This year’s election is to fill a seat opening for a representative from a large-sized section. The following candidates are current past chairs from large-sized sections. Please vote for one.
