Fees and Expenses
When DRG consultants make site visits their travel expenses are covered by the college or university they visit and they also receive an honorarium to compensate for pre-visit preparation, the time involved with their travel and the actual site visit, as well as time spent writing the final report (if required). Thus,a program review might require 2.5 to 3.5 days of a consultant's time, including a half day of preparation and document review, at least one full day for the site visit, and at least one day for report development. As a guideline, we suggest an honorarium of at least $500 per day, depending on the details of the report that is needed and the typical amount paid to external reviewers and other consultants on campus.>
