Department Management and Curriculum Development PublicationsThe ASA bookstore includes a range of publications that can assist departments with everything from curriculum development, to assessment, to developing service learning and internship courses, to graduate student socialization and preparing future faculty.  

DRG logoDepartment Resources Group

Department Resources Group (DRG)  is currently composed of over 40 sociologist/consultants who assist departments with a wide variety of needs, including:

  • external reviews,
  • curriculum development,
  • assessment,
  • department retreats,
  • and teaching workshops. 

In addition, the DRG Mentors Program is available to assist individuals who have taken on a leadership role in the department, such as department chair, division coordinator, or graduate studies director.

  1. Click here, and then type in your department's ASA ID. If your department is an ASA Affiliate, this is located in the header of recent Chairlink newsletters.  If not, send an email to ASA customer service.
  2. Type in your department zip code.
  3. Update information as needed.  Please be sure to include an email address for the current department chair, as well as a key email that will not change over time.
