Annual Meeting Activities

The Student Forum Advisory Board members work hard to put together workshops and sessions at the ASA Annual Meeting that are just for students. At the 2011 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV, the Student Forum held one roundtable paper session, two regular paper sessions, and two professional workshops titled “Navigating Parenthood in Academe” and "Different Types of Publications for Students". 

Another event that they host at the meetings is the Student Reception, during which the Travel Award winners are recognized and receive their checks, and all students attending the Annual Meeting can come and mingle with other students while enjoying light refreshments.

In 2012, the Student Forum will host one roundtable session, two regular paper sessions, two professional workshops, the Student Reception, and a business meeting (open to all meeting attendees). To see the Student Forum Call for Papers, visit the Meetings page and search the ASA Call for Papers.
