ASA Dept Survey - Median Full-Time Faculty by Type of Institution, AY 2000/01 and 2006/07

Summary: 

Chairs reported in the 2007 survey that the number of students has increased while the number of faculty per department has remained relatively flat. This graph shows little growth in the median number of full-time faculty since AY 2000/01. The largest change occurred at Research II institutions, increasing from a median of 13 to 15.
