Melvin L. Kohn served as the 77th President of the American Sociological Association. His Presidential Address, entitled "Cross-National Research As An Analytic Strategy," was delivered at the Association's 1987 Annual Meeting in Chicago,and was later published in the American Sociological Review (ASR December 1987, Vol 52 No 6, pp 713-731).
