in United States History

33 people are dead at Virginia Tech University. It is the worst campus shooting in United States history. Katherine Newman, Princeton University, author of Rampage, The Social Roots of School Shootings, Joseph Gasper, Johns Hopkins University, who teaches a course exploring the topics of school crime and shootings, including the nature and extent of school crime, and the theories behind the violence, and Suzanne Lea, Gallaudet University, who specializes in juvenile delinquency, crime, and deviance, and whose research explores isolation and how it impacts identity development and the potential connections to violent behavior, are available for comments and interviews.
