2014 ASA Annual Meeting Film Screening  

The Academic and Professional Affairs Program is accepting new submissions for the 109th Annual Meeting to be held in San Francisco.  The ASA film screening usually showcases between 18 and 22 documentary-style films during the Annual Meeting. View this year's roster of films being screened during the Annual Meeting by searching the online preliminary program schedule.  Search Tip: search by typing "film/video" in the search field.


All film/video nominations (in DVD format) were to be submitted (and post marked) by February 25, 2014 

Submission Criteria:  

The film screening program traditionally features short documentary films that illustrate sociological concepts and are used as teaching resources.  

ASA Members, filmmakers and distributors who wish to propose a film for inclusion in the 2014 screening series may submit a copy of the film/video and a brief description of the work that notes its relevance to sociological instruction and research. The requirements for film submissions are :
