Stephen Brint is Professor of Sociology at University of California, Riverside, as well as the Associate Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. He also directs the Colleges and Universities 2000 study, which examines patterns of continuity and change in American four-year colleges and universities over the period 1970 to 2000.
