Footnotes is ASA's monthly newsletter with combined issues published in May/June, July/August, and September/October. Subscription: $40 Single Copies: $3 Article Submissions are limited to 1,000 words and must have journalistic value (e.g., timeliness, significant impact, general interest) rather than be research-oriented or scholarly in nature. Submissions are reviewed by the editorial board for possible publication. Public Forum - 600-word limit. Obituaries - 700-word limit. Letters to the Editor - 400-word limit. Department Announcements - 150-word limit. All submissions should include a contact name and an email address. ASA reserves the right to edit for style and length all material published. Deadline for all materials is the first of the month preceding publication (e.g., February 1 for March issue).
