The American Sociological Association is gearing up to participate in the USA Science & Engineering Festival (USASEF), to be held in Washington, DC, on October 23-24, 2010.
If you are in the DC area this fall, we hope you will visit ASA’s exhibit booth at this family-friendly event on the national mall. The ASA booth will include computer terminals that will allow visitors to use sociological data to test basic hypotheses about the social world using websites such as Social Explorer (www.socialexplorer.com), SDA (sda.berkeley.edu), and Teaching with Data (teachingwithdata.org).
This is the nation’s first national science festival. It is being organized by globally renowned science event producer, Lawrence Alan Bock and begins with a nationwide kickoff on October 10. For more information, visit the USASEF website at usasciencefestival.org/.
