Case 59. Teenage Youth and Coercion

Situation

Sam Johnson receives a grant to study ethical decision-making in teens. To recruit research participants, he offers gift certificates at fast-food restaurants and movie tickets. But Johnson is unable to find enough participants. With permission from his sponsor and IRM, Johnson shifts some funds in order to purchase Sony Walkmans for each participant.
