2008 Coupon Listing

The American Sociological Association is again providing publishers, software/video/film companies, and other organizations an opportunity to expand subscriptions and sales through the annual Coupon Listing. The 2008 Coupon Listing will contain listings for books, journals, software/videos/films, and association memberships and services offered at a discount to ASA members.

For 2008, the Coupon Listing will be featured on the ASA website beginning in early December, 2007. All ASA members will receive information on your products and services, prior to the start of the 2008 calendar year. ASA members send orders directly to the listing companies on forms provided as part of the Coupon Listing.

Listing fees for the 2008 Coupon Listing are $100 for the first title or product listed; a 20% discount ($80) is offered for each additional listing. All listings must be prepaid. All products and services must be offered at a minimum 15% discount off the regular individual price; both regular and discounted prices appear in the Coupon Listing. Your prices should be applicable to the 2008 calendar year; orders from ASA members must be honored at the listing rates during 2008. The ASA will also include a descriptive paragraph in addition to a standard listing. An additional fee of $40 for up to 50 words will apply. The 20% discount on additional listings will not apply to this fee.

We invite you to examine the 2007 listings and look forward to receiving your listings for 2007. All listings must be received by November 15, 2007.

Contract

By signing and returning this contract, all parties agree to the following conditions:
(1) Publications and products listed in the ASA Coupon Listing reflect those whose content is of specific interest to social scientists. Inclusion of all titles is subject to the approval of the ASA Director of Publications and/or the ASA Executive Officer.
(2) A fee of $100 for the first publication or product to be advertised will be charged. A discount of 20% per title will be charged for each additional listing. Descriptive paragraphs will be charged an additional fee of $40 for 50 words or fewer.
(3) All titles must be offered at a minimum 15% discount off the regular individual rate. Both regular and discounted rates will appear in the Coupon Listing. Discounted prices must be honored through the 2008 calendar year.
(4) The Coupon Listing is available to ASA members only. Membership in the Association is the only criterion for reduced rates.
(5) Orders will be sent directly to the listing company. It is the listing company’s responsibility to notify those ordering of temporary suspension or delay of order.
(6) Listings must be received by the ASA by November 15, 2007, and must be accompanied by a signed contract and full prepayment information.
(7) The American Sociological Association shall not be liable for publication errors beyond refund or waiver of listing fees.
