2007 Annual Meeting | Hotel Accommodations | New York

The 102nd ASA Annual Meeting will be held at the Hilton New York and the Sheraton New York in downtown Manhattan. The Hilton will host the ASA Exhibits, Registration, Bookstore, and Employment Service. The ASA Child Care Service will be housed at the Sheraton, which is across the street from the Hilton. Program sessions and social events will be held at both hotels.
Blocks of sleeping rooms for ASA meeting attendees have been arranged at the two co-headquarters hotels. These two hotels are located in the area of Manhattan called Midtown West (42nd to 59th Streets on the West Side), which is near Times Square. The Hilton New York is at 1335 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue between 53rd and 54th Streets); the Sheraton New York is on 811 Seventh Avenue (between 52nd and 53rd Street).

Booking a room in the ASA room blocks is an important way to support the Association and ultimately keep overall meeting costs as low as possible. Staying “within the block” is also more convenient and helps you stay connected with the informal activities and networking opportunities that occur at the co-headquarters hotels during the meeting. |

You may also call the hotel as indicated on the housing page. ASA convention rates are applicable for 3 days before and after the meeting, but the number of rooms is limited at each hotel. Pre- and post-convention availability is at the discretion of the hotels.

You are encouraged to make your reservation as soon as possible. Rooms at the ASA rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If a room block sells out before the deadline, no further reservations will be accepted by the hotel. |

A reservation deposit equal to one night’s stay is required, and your room reservation must be guaranteed by a major credit card. All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately. |

Hotels will not refund guarantees/deposits unless cancellation is received at least 72 hours prior to arrival. Please check your hotel confirmation for the specific policy at that facility. |

The co-headquarters hotels are unable to offer discounted rates to students. Several options for less expensive housing options for students are shown below. Formal room blocks are not being held at these properties for ASA, so students may make arrangements directly with the facility of their choice.
