ASA continues its tradition of providing an innovative program of activities for children of Annual Meeting registrants. Arrangements have again been made with KiddieCorp to offer a full child care program from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on August 11-14 for children between the ages of 6 months to 12 years.

KiddieCorp is dedicated to providing quality child care services across the nation for meeting attendees. Staffing for the ASA child care program will be based on a 1:2 ratio for children 6 months to 1 year, 1:3 ratio for children 1-2 years of age, and a 1:5 ratio for children 3-12 years of age. The program includes a customized hourly schedule of creative and educational activities, age-appropriate toys and games, popular arts and crafts projects, and child-pleasing movies and cartoon videos. Learn more about KiddieCorp.

Preregistration. Parents/guardians using these services must be registrants for the Annual Meeting. Fill out the Child Care Registration portion of the Events & Services portion of the full meeting registration form and remit the appropriate preregistration deposit with your meeting registration payment before preregistration closes on July 11th.

Deposit. The non-refundable preregistration deposit is $50 per child. The deposit will be applied to the daily usage fees on-site.

Daily Fees. Daily use fees per preregistered child are $50 per full day, $30 per half day (8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. or 1:30-6:30 p.m.). For children using the service for shorter periods, the half-day fee will apply to encourage stable populations. Fees include on-site activities and snacks; lunch is not included but meal arrangements can be made through KiddieCorp.

Scholarships. Several financial assistance scholarships are available which will provide reduced daily usage fees for children of unemployed or low-income members/students. To apply for a scholarship, write a letter identifying your membership status and requesting a child care scholarship and attach it to your registration form. Be sure to fill out the Child Care Registration portion of the form, provide daily usage estimates, and remit the basic child care preregistration deposit.

Space for Non-Preregistrants. There is no guarantee that non-preregistered families can be accommodated on-site. Last year it was not possible to accept non-preregistered children into the service. IF there are any openings, fees for children who were not preregistered will be $75 per day per child.

Refund/Cancellation. The preregistration deposit is non-refundable. However, if the required minimum enrollment for the program is not reached and the service is cancelled, all deposits will be refunded.
