Seymour Martin Lipset

March 18, 1922 - December 31, 2006

Seymour M. Lipset served as the 84th President of the American Sociological Association. His Presidential Address, entitled "The Social Requisites of Democracy Revisited," was delivered at the Association's 1993 Annual Meeting in Miami,and was later published in the February 1994 issue of the American Sociological Review (ASR Vol 59 No 1, pp 1-22).
