Lewis A. Coser served as the 66th President of the American Sociological Association. His Presidential Address, "Two Methods in Search of a Substance," was delivered on August 25, 1975 at the Association's Annual Meeting in San Francisco, and was later published in the American Sociological Review (ASR December 1975, Vol 40 No 6, pp 691-700).
