Minutes of ASA Council Meetings
Following each meeting of the ASA governing Council, official minutes are prepared. Following approval by the full Council those minutes are published. Minutes of ASA Council meetings have been published since 1918 (see note below). The following links provide access to minutes (in PDF format) of the most recent Council meetings:

Where Minutes Have Been Published
2003-Present
Since 2003, Council minutes have been published on the ASA website as PDF documents.
1971-2003
Beginning with the Minutes of the May 15, 1971, meeting Council minutes were published in Footnotes. This continued until 2003 when minutes moved online.
1965-1971
Prior to the publication of Footnotes, minutes of Council and Business meetings were published in The American Sociologist. The first minutes published in The American Sociologist were the minutes of the September 1, 1965, Council meeting published in the May 1966 issue (Vol 1, No 3).
1936-1965
Before The American Sociologist was published, ASA minutes were published in the American Sociological Review starting in 1936. The first minutes issued in ASR were minutes of December 1935 meetings, published in the February 1936 issue (Vol 1, No 1). The last minutes printed in ASR were of the January 10, 1965 meeting, published in the June 1965 issue.
1906-1936
Prior to the 1936 introduction of American Sociological Review, ASA published annual meeting proceedings with occasional other publications as needed. Minutes from early governance meetings are found in those volumes entitled Publications of the American Sociological Society.
