Annual Meeting Exhibits

The 2017 ASA Annual Meeting provides a great opportunity to showcase your organization and its products to more than 5,000 leading sociologists in the U.S., Canada, and abroad. Exhibit Hall Location and Hours

The ASA Exhibit Hall will be located in Hall 220C in the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. Booths must be staffed at all times during exhibit hours.

Saturday, August 12     2:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 13        9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Monday, August 14      9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 15      9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Booth Rental Rates

Your exhibit fee includes an identifying sign and three exhibitor registrations per booth. A directory of exhibitors will be listed on the ASA website, in the ASA Final Program, and on the Annual Meeting App.

  • 1 booth  (10’x 10’) – $2,300
  • 2 booths (10’x 20’) – $3,300
  • 3 booths (10’x 30’) – $4,000
  • 4 booths (10’x 40’) – $5,000
  • Island booth (20’ x 20’) – $5,000

Booths are assigned based on the date of ASA’s receipt of the booth contract. To receive a prime location, return the exhibit contract with payment as soon as possible. Full payment must be received before a boot(s) assignment will be made. View the exhibit hall floor plan.

The last date to reserve a booth and be listed in the Final Program is June 1, 2017.

Booth Set-up and Tear-down

GES has been designated as the official drayage and storage company for the 2017 Annual Meeting. Detailed information including additional booth-related costs (i.e. furniture, carpet, etc.) are provided in the GES Exhibitor Service Kit. Additional services (internet, etc.) can be ordered from the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

Set-up Hours
Friday, August 11        1:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 12    8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Tear-down Hours
Tuesday, August 15     1:00 – 10:00 p.m.
*For safety purposes, children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the exhibit hall during set-up and tear-down hours.

Cancellation

Exhibitors who cancel their exhibit reservation prior to May 1, 2017 will be refunded 50% of the total booth fee. No refunds are available after May 1, 2017.

Travel and Customs

ASA Housing Services for exhibitors is open. There are seven hotels within the ASA block to select from. Please visit the Exhibitor Housing site for details.

Mendelssohn Event Logistics has been designated as the official customs broker for exhibitors. If you have any questions regarding importing meeting materials into Canada or if you wish to inquire about available brokerage services, please contact Phil Lopresti at plopresti@mend.com or (514) 987-2700 x2126.

For non-Canadian exhibitors, please dowload the Canada Border Services Agency Letter of Recognition. It is recommended that all of your personnel print a copy to present to customs upon entry to Canada.
