Those attending the 2012 Annual Meeting in Denver (August 17-20) have a new planning tool available to help them make the best use of their time at the meetings. 

ASA will launch the Annual Meeting mobile/web-based “app” on July 13th.  Smart-phone (and tablet) users worldwide can download the meeting app before they arrive in Denver. ASA will use this application to provide real-time information related to the meeting. 

The mobile/web-based app is configured for iOS (iPhone/iPad), Android and BlackBerry platforms. For those who don’t have one of these platforms, the content is available for web browsers. FYI: complimentary WiFi access will be provided to meeting attendees in all ASA meeting rooms and the entire Exhibit Hall during the Annual Meeting. 

The Annual Meeting mobile/web-based app features include:

  • important information to help meeting attendees plan their trip to Denver;
  • information on ASA service hours and locations;
  • maps of the meeting spaces and the surrounding area;
  • access to the live webcasts (and real-time transcriptions) of the Plenary Sessions;
  • access to the online program schedule;
  • access to the personal scheduler/itinerary within the online program schedule;
  • the ability to view the current list of exhibitors;
  • an interactive exhibit floor plan;
  • real-time convention alerts via the Convention Bulletin;
  • social media interaction with live Twitter feeds;
  • and much more!
